The Dallas Cowboys are set to have two different sets of joint practices this summer. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer noted on Thursday that the team will be holding joint practices once training camp begins with both the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints.
It was specified that the Cowboys will scrimmage against the Rams at their own facility as opposed to in Oxnard where the teams have met in the past. Given that the Cowboys are going to host the Saints that makes some sense.

Dallas usually hosts teams for things like this, but they have traveled before as well. In 2022 the Cowboys visited the Denver Broncos in the preseason and practiced with them beforehand.
Speaking of the preseason, Dallas will not face the Rams in the exhibition period, they will visit them in Week 15 though, but they obviously have familiarity with joint practices and will be nearby one another. The Cowboys are set to host the Saints for their only home preseason game, so it would stand to reason that perhaps those practices would be at The Star, again given proximity but for the Saints in this instance. It will obviously be a reunion of sorts as Dallas will see Kellen Moore with the Saints, the team’s former offensive coordinator. Incidentally Brian Schottenheimer rose to the OC position after Dallas and Moore parted ways and the rest is history.
