The Dallas Cowboys are 2-0 in the preseason. Alert the masses.
Before we go any further, we all agree that wins and losses in the preseason do not ultimately matter. You would certainly rather win these exhibition contests than lose them, but at the end of the day that particular detail does not matter as much as the roster growth and development you ideally experience within them.

That being said, it has had been almost 20 years since the Cowboys could say that they were 2-0 in a given preseason. As we discussed this past week the last season where this was the case was 2007.
Many around here believe that 2007 was the best team that the Cowboys have fielded throughout the entirety of The Drought™ so perhaps this is an indication that 2026 will be as successful as that one was, ideally without the exact same finish. Obviously we are just having fun with all of this, but it is pretty wild that the Cowboys had gone so long without getting to 2-0 in the preseason, isn’t it?
Consider that the Cowboys got to 1-0 in the preseason last week for the first time since 2017. This offseason, and now preseason have felt so much like the Cowboys doing things they haven’t done in a long time, and that trend is certainly continuing.
