Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, confirming their first transfer of the summer.
“Real Madrid CF and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marc Cucurella, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2032,” the club statement read.

Cucurella was also being targeted by both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but Real Madrid have moved swiftly to close the deal and secure his signing.
The defender has signed a six-year contract with Los Blancos, committing to the Spanish capital club until the summer of 2032.
While there is no mention of the transfer fee in the statement, Real Madrid are understood to have paid a fee of €55 million plus another €5 million in add-ons for the Spanish left-back.
Cucurella comes in as a part of a major defensive restructuring that Real Madrid are carrying out under new manager Jose Mourinho.
While his is the first signing that has been announced officially, Los Blancos have also secured the transfers of Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries to bolster the backline.
