After falling just short at the Italian Open, American tennis star Coco Gauff now has her eyes set on something bigger — the French Open.
Gauff is no stranger to the Roland-Garros stage, in fact, she enters this year’s tournament as the defending champion. The 22-year-old defeated world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in three sets to claim the title in 2025, and she could make a back-to-back campaign this week.
Of course, Gauff will not have an easy route to the final. She’ll get started with a matchup against fellow American Taylor Townsend — the two have only faced off once before, with Townsend winning. Gauff could end up facing Amanda Anisimova or Sabalenka later in the draw.
Could Gauff become a back-to-back champion at Roland-Garros? Be sure to follow along.
