A week of of notable games between ranked teams has led to a big shake-up in the top 10 of the college football rankings with Oregon taking over the No. 1 spot in the Coaches Poll released Sunday.

The Ducks moved into first place in the Coaches Poll top 25 after a status-affirming Week 8 performance against Purdue on Friday night. Oregon was riding high off a massive win against Ohio State and had fly across the country with one less day to prepare, but the end result was a business-like 35-0 shutout win. With Texas’ loss to Georgia on Saturday night the No. 1 spot was up for grabs, and after getting a healthy share of voting points and a pair of first-place votes from the coaches last week Oregon is a sensible pick to move up.

The Longhorns fell from No. 1 to No. 6 after the loss, while Georgia moved up from No. 4 to No. 2. The top 10 also saw some changes in the wake of Tennessee’s victory over Alabama, which had the Volunteers moving from No. 10 to 8 and Alabama drop from No. 7 to No. 15. Among the notable moves include Indiana moving up five spots to No. 13 after beating Nebraska 56-7, as the Cornhuskers were one of two teams (the other being Michigan) to fall out of the Coaches Poll top 25. Those exits opened up spots for Navy and Vanderbilt to break through into the rankings at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.
