Caitlin Clark works in Indiana, but she is a Kansas City Chiefs fan at heart.
She is such a Chiefs fan, in fact, that she didn’t put on the Indianapolis Colts jersey the AFC South team gifted her ahead of its game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday:
Clark is not shy about how much she loves the Chiefs.
In addition to attending games, she appeared on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce and explained she has family from Kansas City and grew up in nearby Iowa. She also said her father was a Chiefs fan when she was growing up and added, “People think I’m like a bandwagon Chiefs fan, I’m like, ‘no. I was there before Patrick and Travis. We were ride or die.'”
It’s hard to argue that the Indiana Fever star is ride or die after she wouldn’t even put on the jersey of a fellow AFC team.
She might not have put on the Colts jersey, but the home team still put on a show for her and everyone else in attendance with a blowout 40-6 victory. And Clark can take solace knowing the Raiders are AFC West rivals with her Chiefs, so it was probably a welcome result for her.
As for Indiana fans, they will just have to accept she will cheer for the NBA’s Pacers but not the Colts.
After all, her allegiances in the NFL are already clear.
