The future of LIV Golf is completely uncertain right now.
It was back in April when Saudi Arabia’s PIF released a statement saying they would no longer be providing financial support to the league.
That led to rumors that LIV Golf could fold imminently.

Bryson DeChambeau‘s contract with LIV Golf is due to expire at the end of this season, and if the American superstar leaves for pastures new, it may well spell the end of the league.
Another player has opened up about LIV’s uncertain future after speaking to a journalist in Germany at the BMW International Open.
Carlos Ortiz comments on LIV Golf’s future
Ortiz, who is currently leading the BMW International Open in Germany, spoke to Bunkered after his second round in Germany.
The Mexican responded when asked whether he thinks LIV Golf will still be around from next season onwards.

“I mean, I honestly don’t know all the situation, but it’s not looking great, obviously, as we all know. That’s a shame, I’ve really enjoyed my time playing all around the world and it’s been awesome playing with my team.
“We’ll see what happens, you know, but whatever happens, I’m sure I’ll find a place to play and, for me, it’s just about playing golf. If I can start coming to places like this and seeing new places, then it will be great. For me, whatever happens is totally fine.”
Joaquin Niemann weighs in on LIV Golf debate
Chilean star Joaquin Niemann is playing in Germany this week as well.

He spoke to bunkered after his second round and insisted that LIV Golf still has a lot to offer.
“I know for sure he [Scott O’Neil, LIV CEO] is doing the best job he can to raise the money and keep getting the product that we have – which I think is the best,” he said.
“Coming and seeing the difference on DP [World Tour] to what LIV has, LIV is great.
“But, yeah, hopefully we can get the money and please the fans who hope we keep going.”
Joaquin Niemann certainly seems to be more positive about the future of LIV Golf than Carlos Ortiz is.
And it remains to be seen whether the league is able to carry on beyond the end of the 2026 season.
