Caleb Plant is back in action, and “Sweethands” is ready to return to the top of the super middleweight division. He faces Armando Resendiz on March 31. The fight in Las Vegas airs on Prime Video.

Plant (23-2) lost against Canelo Alvarez to determine the undisputed super middleweight champion. The former IBF champion has since gone 2-1 in his last three fights. Facing tough competition throughout his career, Plant believes he has what it takes to break Resendiz.

“At this point in my career, I’m a complete fighter. Whether it’s inside, outside or midrange, I have great legs and great feet. Whatever he decides to do, we’ll be right there with him, but levels above. We’re gonna show him there’s levels to this,” Plant said.

“Experience plays a big factor in every fight, and that’s something that I’ve had. I’ve faced the best in the sport. I’m the biggest and baddest dude he’s ever fought.”

Resendiz’s (15-2) biggest win came against Jarrett Hurd in 2023, taking out the former champion. The 26-year-old is 1-1 in his last two fights since then. Looking to regain momentum following that victory, the Mexican is ready to shock the world.

“Caleb is right that I have nothing to lose. But I have a lot to fight for, too. I just announced yesterday that I’m gonna be a father for the first time. So I’m fighting for more than just myself,” Resendiz said.

The co-main event will see Jermall Charlo return to the ring following a two-year absence to face Thomas LaManna. A win against LaManna (39-5-1) could result in Charlo (33-0), a two-division champion, facing Plant before the end of the year.
