Whistles blowing. Limbs flailing. Coaches screaming. Air horns blaring.

NFL training camp joint practices can devolve from scrimmage to backyard brawl in a matter of plays. A body slam from the undrafted rookie wide receiver? Now that’s a relatively new element of what has plagued more than one training camp

And this particular act happened to run in the family.

Brock Rechsteiner, an undrafted rookie in training camp with the New Orleans Saints, tossed Dallas Cowboys eighth-year safety Jalen Thompson to the ground during a brawl between the two teams, according to videos shared from the teams’ joint practice at Cowboys camp in Oxnard, California.

Rechsteiner is the son of former WCW heavyweight champion and WWE professional wrestler Scott Steiner. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside his brother Rick Steiner. Known for his athletic style, Steiner went by “Big Poppa Pump” and formed one of the best tag teams of the 1990s alongside Rick.

A clip shared by New Orleans Football on social media showed Rechsteiner engaging with Cowboys cornerback Caleen Carson, who yanked at Rechsteiner’s facemask and pulled him. A melee ensued, with more than several players from both teams involved in two separate scrums and the respective coaching staffs desperate for a detente.
