CARS Tour champion Brenden “Butterbean” Queen and Lee Pulliam Performance are getting the band back together for a handful of races with the zMAX CARS Tour and other crown jewels in the Late Model Stock Car world this summer and fall beginning at Virginia’s Dominion Raceway on June 13.
“This is super cool for me, because my time with Lee was a very special moment in my career,” said Queen. “I truly feel that without those two seasons with him, I probably don’t get the opportunities that I have now to race with Ram and Kaulig in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I’m probably still racing Late Models on the weekly level if I didn’t get those years with him. So it’s really cool to get to race with him again, because win or lose we always have a good time. I know the car will be good, and it’ll be fun to lay it all out on the track.”

“I’m so excited to go racing with Butterbean again,” said team owner Lee Pulliam. “We won a handful of races together, a CARS Tour championship, and he became a brother to me in a short period of time. I’m so thrilled for him that he’s moved on to bigger things in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, but I’m so thankful that we’re going to get to race together seven times this summer and fall. I can’t wait to get to Dominion with him next month and chase more trophies.”
Queen, who races full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Kaulig Racing and Ram, will run seven total races with Lee Pulliam Performance, beginning with the CARS Tour’s trip to Dominion Raceway for the Mini’s Mission 125, a race that Queen and LPP won together in 2024.
In addition to the race at Dominion, Queen and LPP will run the CARS Tour races at North Wilkesboro Speedway on July 17, and at Florence Motor Speedway on September 4. He will also be in action in the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway on June 27, the Hampton Heat 200 at his home track of Langley Speedway on July 25, the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway on November 21, and the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park on November 29.
Together, Queen and Lee Pulliam Performance have visited victory lane at every single one of those races except for the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway.

“I picked the SoBo 200 because I finished second in it, but that’s one of the crown jewels I haven’t won,” explained Queen. “If I can win that I’d really just be missing a clock at Martinsville. It’s just cool to be in the conversation to win a fourth Hampton Heat. That one will be cool to race in front of my hometown crowd and the OG Bean Nation fans. I picked a bunch of these crown jewels because it’ll be cool to add another one of those to what I’ve already accomplished.”
Queen will once again pilot the No. 03, which he drove to all 11 of his victories with Lee Pulliam Performance. Lee Pulliam will serve as his crew chief for some of the races, while Ted Musgrave Jr., will also serve as his crew chief. Musgrave Jr. currently serves as the crew chief for Carson Brown on the CARS Tour with Lee Pulliam Performance.
