Brad Dalke’s highly anticipated PGA Tour return didn’t exactly go to plan.
The YouTube golfer, who was once a highly-touted amateur, received a sponsor’s exemption to play at the Rocket Classic, his first PGA Tour event since 2016.

Expectations were high for Dalke after he had a strong showing at the BMW International Open on the DP World Tour recently, but in his worst nightmares, he couldn’t have dreamed of a worse start in Detroit this week.
He shot an opening-round 81, leaving him second-to-last in the field through 18 holes of golf. Dalke’s round featured seven bogeys, a double and a quad as he sprayed it all over the park.
It was a disaster for Dalke, and he took to social media to share his honest thoughts on his start to the event.

Brad Dalke reflects on ‘nightmare’ start to the Rocket Classic
Dalke, who had high hopes of a solid showing this week at the Rocket Classic before the tournament began, took to X to express his disappointment.

After his opening round 81, he said, “That round was nightmare fuel my goodness. Goes without saying I played very, very poorly… but everything that could’ve gone wrong seemed to go wrong. Nothing I can do now except go play some more golf tomorrow.”
Then, in response to fellow YouTubers the Bryan Bros, who put out a message of support for Dalke, he said, “Thank you fellas. Tough day out there and it’s a lonely feeling playing golf like that. Appreciate you guys. Time for a strong finish tomorrow.”
The nerves must have been immense for Dalke on the first tee, so when his round started six-over through five holes, he spiraled. Hopefully he can gather himself and show the world what he’s capable of in his second round.
