UNC football coach Bill Belichick has reportedly told his program not to post or reshare content regarding the New England Patriots, 247Sports’ Ross Martin reported Monday.
North Carolina did not acknowledge former Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye’s performance in a Sunday night win over the Buffalo Bills until around 10 a.m. ET Monday, about two hours after Martin’s report.
Maye took over as the Patriots’ starter last fall during the franchise’s first season since parting ways with Belichick. He led a game-winning drive in Sunday’s fourth quarter to hand Josh Allen and the Bills their first defeat of the season.
