Now that the United Football League (UFL) season has concluded with the United Bowl played on Saturday, June 13, all player contracts become null and void because every contract is for a one-year duration. This is done on purpose, as well as the timing of the end of the UFL season, so that their players can earn training camp contracts with NFL clubs.
Former Cleveland Browns draft pick, LB Tony Fields II, is set to work out with the Chicago Bears, according to a report. Fields played for the Columbus Aviators this year.

Fields had an exceptional season with Columbus. He came in second for the most total tackles in the league with 77 and was #3 in tackles for loss (5). At season’s end, he was voted to the “2026 All-UFL Team.”
The talented linebacker was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft after a great career at West Virginia. Before transferring, he played three seasons at Arizona, where he was named First Team All-Big 12. He was invited to participate in the Senior Bowl.
On Monday, Fields reportedly signed a deal with the Bears:
Initially with Cleveland, he was strictly a special teams demon. In his second year, he played almost as many defensive snaps as on special teams. In 2023, Fields played 236 defensive reps with four starts. In his contract year of 2024, he injured his ankle in Week 1 and was placed on IR. He was released on October 22.
Fields was then signed to the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams. In the following training camp, he was a last-day cut. He signed with the Aviators for 2026.
