Barcelona midfielder and captain Frenkie de Jong has been able to resolve a serious problem that had been dragging on for many months.

The Dutch midfielder had been linked with agent Ali Dursun since the beginning of his career. However, in recent months, the player was working on ending his professional relationship with the Turkish-born representative after feeling deceived by him.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, De Jong already has a new representative, who, like him, is also Dutch.

The midfielder’s new agent has already contacted Barcelona to introduce himself and to express his interest in holding a meeting with the club’s sporting director, Deco, with whom he has already had initial discussions about the player’s renewal.

Barcelona also aim to complete the registrations of Gerard Martin, who is expected to be available for the match against Levante, and, next week, Wojciech Szczesny and Roony Bardghji, once the futures of Pena and Fort are clarified.

As was the case with Jules Kounde’s renewal last week, Barcelona would also benefit in terms of Financial Fair Play. For now, however, there have only been initial contacts and good intentions.
