With one official match left to play this season, FC Barcelona have already begun working on strengthening their squad for the next campaign.
One of the key objectives heading into the summer transfer window is to increase the team’s ability to create danger from wide positions.
As previously reported, Liverpool winger Luis Diaz is the preferred target. However, due to the complexity of that potential deal, the club is keeping an eye on alternatives such as Marcus Rashford.
Eliesse Ben Seghir and Maghnes Akliouche on Barcelona’s radar

Akliouche, on the other hand, is a 23-year-old French right-sided winger who has racked up a tally of seven goals and 12 assists from 43 appearances for Monaco in 2024/25.
Both Ben Seghir and Akliouche had previously been flagged by Barcelona scouts, having impressed during the 2024 Joan Gamper Trophy – where Monaco won 3-0 – and again in the Champions League opener, a 2-1 win for Monaco in which Akliouche scored.
Ben Seghir, who is a known admirer of Barcelona, has a contract with Monaco until 2027.
Akliouche, who has in the past admitted that he would love to play for the Catalans, has a deal with the Ligue 1 outfit that runs until 2028.
