Rose BC secured an upset win over the Laces in Saturday’s Unrivaled action, winning by the final score of 83-69.
It was an impressive victory from Rose BC, as Angel Reese didn’t play in the second half after she was ejected just before halftime. Reese was whistled for a foul on Tiffany Hayes and didn’t agree with the call, picking up a pair of technical fouls.
Still, Rose BC was able to wrap up a win over a Laces team that entered the game with a 4-1 record due to the heroics of Chelsea Gray.
Gray finished with 28 points and eight assists, shooting 10-16 from the field and connecting on three of her four attempts from behind the arc. She also hit the game-winning shot for Rose BC.

Let me say it again: Chelsea Gray. So sensational. #Unrivaled
Gray was far from the only contributor in the win, as Kahleah Cooper and Azura Stevens both crossed the 20-point threshold.
Cooper scored 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Stevens chipped in with 23 points on 11-18 shooting.
Reese also made an impact before she left the contest, racking up 15 rebounds in just seven minutes on the floor.
With the win, Rose BC improved to 2-4 and are now 3.5 games back from first place in the league.
