Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Anderlecht are in talks with Motherwell over the signing of Zimbabwean winger Tawanda Maswanhise. With the likes of Thorgan Hazard set to leave Anderlecht this summer, it is clear that they need reinforcements out wide. Antoine Sibieski has been appointed as Sporting Director and clearly see’s the talented Motherwell winger as one that could help Anderlecht next season.

Formerly of Leicester City, Maswanhise joined Motherwell in 2024 after just one appearance for the Foxes first team. The now 23-year-old had a decent start to his career in Scotland, with six goals and four assists in 34 games. However, this season has been a real breakout one for the Zimbabwean at Motherwell. In 44 games he has scored 22 goals and grabbed two assists. Anderlecht are not the only side interested in signing him this summer. With a contract at Motherwell until 2027, the club will likely want to get as much as they can for Maswanhise this summer, rather than letting him walk for nothing next year.

Motherwell had a fantastic season in Scotland, finishing fourth and qualifying for European football. Sadly, the exodus has already begun, with head coach Jens Berthel Askou having left to join Toulouse. Like Motherwell, Anderlecht are also set to be looking for a new head coach for the 2026/2027 season.
