The No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-2) look to get back on track when they host the No. 21 Missouri Tigers (6-1) on Saturday afternoon. Alabama has dropped two of its last three games to put its College Football Playoff hopes at risk, including a 24-17 setback at then-No. 11 Tennessee last week. Missouri has bounced back from its loss to then-No. 25 Texas A&M with wins over UMass and Auburn. The Tigers have four games against unranked teams remaining on their schedule, so they will be motivated to make their case for a CFP spot this week.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide are 15.5-point favorites, per SportsLine consensus, in the latest Alabama vs. Missouri odds. The over/under for total points is 51, down from opening at 56.5. Before entering any Missouri vs. Alabama picks, you’ll want to see the college football predictions from the model at SportsLine.

Why Alabama can cover

Missouri could be without starting quarterback Brady Cook on Saturday due to an ankle injury that he suffered against Auburn. The Tigers struggled mightily without Cook on the field, as backup Drew Pyne completed just 10 of 21 passes for 78 yards. Cook was listed as doubtful on Missouri’s availability report earlier in the week, but has been upgraded to questionable. Regardless, he won’t be 100% for this one.

Alabama is in desperation mode following its frustrating loss to Tennessee, as it cannot afford another loss during the regular season. Junior quarterback Jalen Milroe has thrown for 1,722 yards and 13 touchdowns, while freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams has 31 receptions for 649 yards and seven scores. The Crimson Tide are riding a nine-game home winning streak and have covered the spread in six of their last seven games in Week 9.  See which team to pick here.

Why Missouri can cover

Alabama has looked extremely shaky since its win over Georgia at the end of September, starting with an outright loss to Vanderbilt as a 23-point favorite. The Crimson Tide barely snuck past South Carolina in their following game, despite entering that contest as 21.5-point favorites. They proceeded to lose to Tennessee last week as 3.5-point favorites, so they are not in good form right now.

Missouri has covered the spread in back-to-back games since its lone loss of the season three weeks ago, cruising to a blowout win at UMass before beating Auburn last week. The Tigers have covered the spread in 13 of their last 18 games, and they have covered in five of their last six road games. See which team to pick here.
