Vancouver Canucks forward Filip Chytil is dealing with another injury after a fluke collision during a Thursday, Sept. 24 preseason game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Chytil was forechecking in the first period when his skate blade got tangled with the skate of referee Riley Brace. Chytil went crashing into the boards shoulder first and appeared to hit his head on the ice. Brace also went flying.

Both got up, Brace slowly, though Chytil later went to the dressing room. The Canucks announced that Chytil wouldn’t return to the game, though they didn’t specify his injury.
