The Pens made some more cuts on Thursday, sending down 12 players and formalizing the movement of goalie Taylor Gauthier to AHL Wilkes-Barre after he cleared waivers.
WBS has a preseason game on Friday and they needed some more players to help fill out the team, no real surprises in the mix. All the big decisions are still to be made for players even close to the bubble.

Following Thursday’s 4-0 loss to Columbus, the Pens have one more preseason game on Saturday in Buffalo. The regular season begins for them on Wednesday in Philadelphia. By then they’ll be down to 23 healthy players and still have well over a dozen more players to trim away from the NHL camp to get there.
