The 2026 Laver Cup will be held from September 25 to September 27 at London’s O2 Arena.

Team Europe and Team World will lock horns over three days of exciting matchups between some of the very best men’s tennis players in the world, including Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz.

The Laver Cup represents a rare chance for elite-level players to compete as part of a team, with shared glory on the line for those involved.

However, tournament prize money remains an individual calculation, with players rewarded for winning the event and compensated via appearance fees based on their world ranking earlier in the season.

Here, The Sporting News breaks down how the prize money works for the 2026 event — the second to be hosted in London.

Laver Cup 2026 purse, prize money

The total purse for the 2026 Laver Cup is $1.5 million. Each player on the winning team receives $250,000.

Since the 2023 edition, there has been no prize-money payout for players on the losing side.

Laver Cup 2026 appearance fee

Players involved in the Laver Cup are also rewarded with an appearance fee. This is calculated according to their ATP singles ranking the Monday after the 2026 French Open.

That means Carlos Alcaraz, who was ranked No. 2 after Roland-Garros, will earn the highest appearance fee. Team Europe teammate and French Open 2026 winner Alexander Zverev is next on the list, having been at No. 3 after Roland Garros. The biggest appearance fee for a player for Team World will go to Ben Shelton, who was ranked fifth in the world.

Laver Cup results do not have any bearing on the ATP rankings themselves, even though those standings are used to determine how much players earn for taking part.
