AJ Auxerre forward Josué Casimir (24) is nearing a move to Russia, as per a report from L’Équipe. The Haiti international (10 caps) featured in this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Auxerre have already lost Francisco Sierralta, who on Wednesday concluded a move to Polish side Gliwice. The transfer window in Poland closes on Wednesday night, but Russian sides have an extra day to wrap up their transfer business. Aleksandr Golovin is a player who could make the move to Russia before tomorrow night, and he may be followed by another Ligue 1 player in the form of Casimir.

Casimir joined Auxerre on a free transfer last summer and his contract with Will Still’s side runs until 2028. However, L’Équipe understands that he is now nearing a move to Russia. The identity of the club that he is close to joining has not been revealed by the publication. The Haitian forward has featured twice for L’AJA this season, both times off the bench.
