According to Fabrizio Romano, however, Roma have recently stepped up their pressure on both the player and the club. A definitive response is now expected soon to finalize the deal and bring Leweling to the capital today.
The Giallorossi’s initial offer to Stuttgart was €30 million + €5 million in bonuses, and the German club already seemed inclined to accept. After initial discouraging signs, however, the player seems convinced and ready to move to Rome.
According to Il Tempo, the Friedkins are already sending a plane to Stuttgart to pick up the player, with takeoff scheduled for 4:00 PM. As soon as the final “yes” arrives, the deal can be closed instantly.
