Once the roster cut deadline of 5:00 PM Central passes on Sunday, players with less than four years of service time will be subject to waivers. All 32 teams have the chance to claim every player who falls under this category. The waiver order through week 3 of the regular season is the same as the 2026 NFL Draft order. That means the Tennessee Titans have the 4th spot. If more than one team claims a player, the player will be awarded to the team with the highest priority waiver spot.

If a player has 4 years or more of service time, they do not have to go through waivers. They are free to sign with a team as soon as they are released.

Once a player clears waivers, they are free to sign with whatever team they choose. The Titans will start to fill out their practice squad from players that have cleared waivers over the next few days.

Of course, if the Titans claim a player, they will have to waive a player who made the initial 53-man roster. For the player who is waived, if they have less than 4 years of service time, they will then be subject to the waiver process.

The Titans are +12500 to win the Super Bowl at FanDuel Sportsbook. Anybody put any money on that?
