Maryland baseball Now, the Dirty Terps will take a special in-state trip in March, the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars announced on Thursday.
Maryland will play a one-off game at Meritus Park in Hagerstown on March 16, with another college baseball game to come between West Virginia and Virginia on May 12.
Meritus Park and the Boxcars are normally part of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an independent league recognized by the MLB. The ballpark, which opened in 2024 as part of a revitalization project for the Hagerstown area, has been named the two-time reigning best stadium in the league, which could make it a worthwhile field trip for fans of the Dirty Terps.

The first collegiate baseball game in the stadium came between West Virginia and Penn State earlier this year. Now, all four local state institutions will be helping draw more attention to the local park.
