From his explosion in fame in the 2000s, to his Masters wins at both age 21 and age 43, Woods’ stardom has reached historic levels. So, too, has his bank account over the years — Woods has been the PGA Tour’s all-time career earnings leader for a while now. Soon, his record will be passed.

With Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy fresh on Woods’ heels in PGA Tour earnings, his cash total will no longer be historic, but will arguably remain more impressive given his resume and how tournament payouts have increased in recent years.

Here’s a breakdown of Woods’ PGA Tour career earnings.

Who has made the most money on PGA Tour?

For now, Woods remains the golden standard for making money on the PGA Tour. He’s accumulated nearly $121 million from tournament winnings alone, which is the tour’s all-time record.

Two modern stars will soon pass Woods, however, assuming they can grab a few more top finishes on leaderboards: Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

Scheffler sat around $1 million shy of Woods’ record entering the 2026 BMW Championship, while McIlroy is around $4.5 million behind Woods.

Those three stars are the only golfers to accumulate at least $100 million in earnings on the PGA Tour.

According to Forbes, Woods has a net worth of $1.5 billion. He was certified by the outlet as a billionaire in 2022, joining LeBron James as the second athlete ever with that distinction.

Woods’ career isn’t over yet — he’s currently on a hiatus from professional golf following his March DUI incident and injury issues throughout 2025 — so he could wind up adding to his PGA Tour total eventually.
