Several members of LIV Golf spoke to Front Office Sports about the 90-minute meeting Bryson DeChambeau conducted at the Trump National Bedminster Golf Club.

Cleeks GC star Richard Bland said that DeChambeau was only able to give small updates with a timeline of when a proper decision might come.

“Bryson just ran through what he knows… We’re trying to do it as a group, but obviously, we’re individuals as well. So, I think the next kind of two-three weeks is going to be where it’s at.”

While Byeong Hun An of the Korean GC said the meeting “went well. It was fun, and no one’s throwing fists or anything, which was good. Bryson was talking, and it was pretty good. The vibe was good.”

LIV Golf seeking new investors as tours face cancellation

Further in the report, it was revealed that LIV Golf Michigan, the $40 million team championship event, is currently still scheduled but expected to be cancelled very soon.

When asked about the event, Byeong Hun An said, “We’ll see what happens. I’m not making the decisions. … We know as much as everyone knows. There’s no no or yes. I’m waiting on it.”

LIV CEO Scott O’Neil was also at the meeting, and he is helming the organisation’s search for new investors. Richard Bland said he and the rest of the LIV Golf stars back O’Neil to secure the investment.

“It was positive. There’s still a lot to go, but Scott told us what he knows, and we’re still committed to next year, and hopefully, some good comes with it. … We’re in this together. We’re fully backing Scott, and I think probably in the next two to three weeks we’ll have a bigger picture.

“Everybody’s just asking the right questions for what it is for the group, and also for them as individuals. We’re just in that stage at the minute that we’re positive with what’s going on, but we just need everything to be fully signed off so you can go for it.”
