Hull has developed a bad habit of getting off to really slow starts recently, and there is no better example of that than last week at the Women’s Scottish Open.

Charley Hull’s opening round at the Women’s Scottish Open descended into chaos after she knocked her birdie putt off the green and ended up making a nine on the fifth hole.
The Englishwoman obviously hit a bad putt, but she was severely punished for her mistake.

Hull’s Scottish Open got off to a nightmare start after she made a quadruple bogey nine on the fifth hole.

And she seemingly let LPGA Tour commissioner Craig Kessler know exactly how she felt about the situation.
Hull has been speaking to reporters ahead of the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club this week.
The 30-year-old revealed how she felt hard done by after making a nine on the par-five fifth hole at Dundonald Links last week.

“At the end of the day it’s about position. I am not going to sit here and say, ‘Oh, yeah, it was me’. Which it was me, but the pin shouldn’t have been there,” Hull explained when speaking to the media on Tuesday.
“I texted the commissioner straight after the round. I was like, ‘Listen, at the end of the day, I know everyone f—s up’, but the pin was about a yard from a massive slope, and where it was on a downslope going towards a slope.

“I’ve had a 12-foot putt for birdie and walked off with a nine.“
‘I’m human’, Charley Hull admits
Hull used the nine she made at the Women’s Scottish Open last week as proof that even the best golfers on the planet are human.
“I had four chips up the slope, but I shouldn’t have putted off the green,“ she said.
“Just shows in fact that I’m human.
“Even the world number so-and-so can make a nine. I thought it was a pretty good nine by the end of it. I holed a 10-foot putt, so, yeah, I think I even fist-pumped.”
Charley Hull is spot on there.
Even the best golfers in the world make mistakes at times, but it is how they bounce back that makes them the players they are.
