The Seattle Seahawks returned to the practice field for opening day of 2026 training camp. For Seahawks fans, this was their first opportunity to watch the team in-person since the Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots back in February. While the early days of training camp tend to be light on anything super physical without pads, it’s still a tasty morsel for fans to savor before padded practices and eventually preseason games.

Here’s a recap of opening day!

Seahawks training camp news and notes

No one additional goes to injury lists

Deven Eastern, Zach Charbonnet, Kenny McIntosh, and Nick Emmanwori are currently on the PUP list. Charbonnet and McIntosh are recovering from ACL tears that book-ended last season, while Emmanwori is recovering from ankle surgery. Eastern’s injury status was not clarified during Mike Macdonald’s press conference.

The good news is that no one else joined them on PUP or found themselves on the NFI (non-football injury) list.

Tory Horton is back!

The dynamic wide receiver missed the back-end of last season with a shin injury, which went from seemingly minor to season-ending. With surgery out of the way and rehab going smoothly, Horton was a full-go at practice, which is a huge sign for himself and Seattle’s overall wide receiver group.
