Olympique Lyonnais are obliged to make a sale before the end of the month. It was thought that it would be either Tanner Tessmann or Malick Fofana who would depart, however, the strongest interest has been shown in Afonso Moreria (21), L’Équipe understands.
An unrefusable offer has been tabled by Bayer Leverkusen, the publication adds. It is valued at €32m. It would leave Lyon making a huge profit on a player signed for just €2m from Sporting CP last summer. The Portuguese forward has excelled since making the move to France, and despite his contract running until 2030, he could be on the way out after just one season in Ligue 1.

Moreira, however, is reluctant to leave the French club. Bayer Leverkusen will, therefore, have to do some convincing but they are being given a helping hand by OL, given their desperation to conclude a big sale, in order to fall in line with the agreement made with the DNCG.
