The PGA Tour Champions once again will hold a three-team competition in December that helps wind down its 2026 calendar, with a trio of major champions hoping to inspire their squads to victory.
The Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s will be played for a third time overall, returning to Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, Fla., for a second straight year. The event, set for Dec. 3-6, will pit seven-player squads from the U.S., Europe and the rest of the world (International) in a unique series of nine-hole matches featuring team formats and singles play. Each hole won earns a team points in the 24 overall matches, with the side that earns the most points claiming the title.

Europe, under captain Darren Clarke, won a year ago, and Clarke will be back to oversee his squad for a third straight year. He’ll be squaring off again first-time captains on the U.S. and International sides in Justin Leonard and Retief Goosen.
The rosters for the 2026 teams are still to be determined, but participants a year ago included many of the senior circuits top performers, such as Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Steven Alker, Stewart Cink and Steve Stricker
“These players have competed for decades and will bring grit and determination to the forefront as we watch them build their teams and battle for the cup later this year,” said Brittany Jeanis, the Tournament Director and Vice President, Golf at Intersport, in a press release. “This global team competition has become a fan-favorite, and we are thrilled to see this tournament continue to thrive as it heads into its third year in the Tampa Bay area.”
The U.S. claimed victory in 2023 during in the inaugural edition of the event.
