  • Stellantis plans to launch more than 110 new cars by 2030.
  • The automaker plans to launch 11 of them in North America.
  • Stellantis will focus its investments on Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat.

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has presented his plan for the automaker: FaSTLAne 2030. And it’s ambitious. The executive has significant work to do across the company’s products, research and development, plant utilization, and more, with more than 110 new or refreshed products at the center.

By 2030, Stellantis will launch more than 60 new vehicles and 50 “significant refreshes,” affecting every brand. While 29 of those vehicles will be battery-electric, the majority—39—will feature combustion engines or mild-hybrid powertrains. Twenty-four of them will be hybrid-electric vehicles, and 15 models will be plug-in hybrids or range-extended EVs.

This refocused approach will emphasize four specific brands—Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat—with 70 percent of Stellantis’ brand and product investments directed toward them. These will become “natural first launchers for all new global assets” due to their presence.

The automaker’s announcement lists Chrysler and Dodge, along with Citroën, Opel, and Alfa Romeo, as “regional brands” that will “benefit from these same global assets and increase brand distinctiveness to delight their customers.” DS and Lancia are now classified as “historical brands” that Citroën and Fiat will manage as specialty manufacturers.

For North America

In North America, Stellantis plans to expand its market coverage by 50 percent and increase volume by 35 percent, aiming for 25 percent total revenue growth. To get there, though, it needs more product.

Stellantis has 11 new vehicles planned for North America. Nine of those vehicles will start at under $40,000, with two starting at under $30,000. Chrysler will be a big focus; the brand will debut three new crossovers and even more Pacifica variants.

Chrysler’s mid-size SUV option will be dubbed the Airflow, with two compact options called the Arrow and Arrow Cross. The Airflow will cost less than $40,000, while the two Arrow models will cost anywhere from $25,000 to $35,000.

On the Ram side, the new Dakota pickup is expected to start at under $40,000. The company will also debut its first three-row SUV, likely dubbed the Ramcharger, before 2030.

Most of Stellantis’ new products will ride on three global platforms, including one called STLA One, and feature a range of powertrains. The automaker will continue to invest in hybrids, battery-electric vehicles, and “highly efficient internal combustion engines.”

Stellantis will also rely on new partnerships with a range of companies, including Chinese ones. It has already inked deals with Leapmotor, Dongfeng, Tata, and JLR.

Motor1’s Take: The one thing Stellantis lacks, especially in North America, is a broad product lineup. The US brands have languished under previous leadership, making bold changes that consumers didn’t like, resulting in a sales decline. But this roadmap could turn things around, especially if the company’s more affordable models are competitive and packed with value.
