Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano: Fight preview
Rousey (12-2) was a champion with Strikeforce and the first UFC bantamweight champion. The multi-time medalist in judo brought the UFC and the women’s division to new heights. Her MMA career ended following brutal knockout losses against Holly Holm (2015) and Amanda Nunes (2016).
The Hall of Famer transitioned to WWE following her MMA career and has also appeared in films like “Furious 7,” “Entourage,” and more.
Carano (7-1) was considered a true pioneer in women’s MMA. The 43-year-old fought Julie Kedzie in what was the first female televised fight on Showtime. She lost against Cris Cyborg in her last fight in 2009 for the Strikeforce featherweight title.

Carano began acting following her run in the cage, appearing in “Fast & Furious 6,” “Deadpool,” and “The Mandalorian.” Now, she’s ready to end a 17-year retirement.
The co-feature will see former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou taking on Philipe Lins. Ngannou (18-3) last competed in MMA in 2024. The former PFL fighter has also fought in boxing matches.
Lins (18-5), a former PFL Heavyweight Tournament winner, was released by the UFC in 2024 and was supposed to compete in the GFL. Now, he faces one of the most feared men in MMA.
Also on the card, Nate Diaz (21-13), who hasn’t competed in MMA since 2022, takes on “King of Violence” Champion Mike Perry (14-8 MMA, 6-0 BKFC), in a fight featuring two of the most durable men in combat sports.
