A few years ago, boxing was abuzz about a quartet of talented lightweights all primed and ready to face each other for years to come. The so-called “Four Princes” of Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney were young and supposedly hungry to prove who was the dominant force at 135 pounds.
However, the foursome have only fought a paltry two bouts against each other thus far. Davis knocked out Garcia in seven rounds in April 2023, and Garcia beat Haney by majority decision the following year at super lightweight. Garcia’s victory was later changed to a no-contest after Garcia tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
