Many of the best golfers in the world have just made the three-plus-hour drive from Shinnecock Hills to TPC River Highlands for the final Signature Event of 2026. Yes, that means it’s Travelers Championship week, and a chance for Wyndham Clark to continue his hot summer (as well as escape Long Island).
Clark will look to keep the stellar play going after his second U.S. Open win in four years. And he’ll be joined by fellow top-10 pros in the Official World Golf Ranking: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Russell Henley, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa. Defending champ Keegan Bradley is also back again; there hasn’t been a successful title defense at the Travelers since Phil Mickelson won back to back years in 2001 and 2002. But Bradley does love this course, as evidenced by two wins here and a runner-up.

TPC River Highlands has a long history hosting the annual Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour, dating back to 1984, when Pete Dye redesigned nine of the existing holes (formerly Edgewood Country Club). Then one of Dye’s former associates, Bobby Weed, returned in 1989 to not only renovate the existing course but add holes as part of a newly built home-development project, one of the first of its kind. Weed has continued to return to renovate the course over the years, including most recently a substantial bunker project in 2016. View Course

Last year’s win came on a Bradley birdie on the 72nd hole, and with a little help from Fleetwood, who lost his late lead after going two over on his final three holes. Bradley shot a two-under 68 on Sunday, which was just enough to hold off Fleetwood and Russell Henley. Bradley also holds the 72-hole record at the Travelers with a 23-under 257 back in 2023.
This week’s winner will receive a $3.6 million cut of the $20 million purse and 700 FedEx Cup points.
