Injury Notes & Roster Moves
-
The Brewers officially signed 17 of their 20 draftees in the 2026 MLB Draft, with the three unsigned players including their fifth-round pick, RHP Aidan Knaak. Learn more here.
-
Shortstop Braden Shewmake, who was designated for assignment, cleared waivers, and was sent outright to Triple-A Nashville, elected free agency rather than taking the assignment. He then agreed to a minor league deal with the Astros, the team that traded him to Milwaukee earlier in July. He’s now with their Triple-A affiliate.
-
LHP Thomas Pannone was selected from Triple-A Nashville for a spot start in Milwaukee’s series finale in San Francisco on Wednesday. Pannone, who hadn’t made an MLB appearance since 2023, went three innings and allowed three runs (two earned) in a loss before being designated for assignment on Friday.
-
LHP DL Hall was reinstated from the injured list on Friday, replacing Pannone on the active roster. He rejoins the Brewer bullpen as another lefty option to pair with Aaron Ashby.
-
RHP Garrett Stallings, who was optioned for Pannone on Wednesday, was recalled again in the wake of the trade, filling out Milwaukee’s bullpen after the departure of Yoho.
-
OF Brandon Lockridge was activated from the 60-day IL on Saturday to replace Perkins on the roster. Lockridge missed the last two-plus months following a knee injury he suffered in early May.
