Tottenham boss Ange Postcoglou has revealed Cristian Romero is making good progress in his recovery.
Romero has not featured since suffering a quad issue following Decemberâs defeat to London rivals Chelsea before suffering a relapse barely a week later.
But Postecoglou admitted on Friday that the Argentineâs road to recovery is going well despite maintaining a cautious approach over his planned return to action.
âItâs going well for him and heâs in a good place,â said Postecoglou.
âIâm really keen to pick the right moment with him and Micky [van de Ven] to make sure weâve got them for the rest of the season.â
Postecoglou also hailed Djed Spence for transforming his Tottenham career after becoming a standout performer despite a difficult opening years with the club.
He added: âWe knew there was a player there but it was up to Djed to take it.
âHe worked so hard, remained patient. In previous years he might have given up the fight.
âBut he kept on going and working hard and that really made an impression on me and his team-mates.â
Spurs travel to Ipswich Town in their latest Premier League encounter on Saturday.
