According to Fabrizio Romano and Florian Plettenberg, the former German national team captain is joining Galatasaray Istanbul. The midfielder is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Süper Lig club, earning around five million euros per year. At the Lions, Gündoğan will reunite with his former national team colleague Leroy Sané.
The 29-year-old had already transferred from Bayern Munich to the Süper Lig top team a few weeks ago.
Gündoğan’s contract is expected to be officially signed today.
