It was meant to be a night of celebration for Cristiano Ronaldo as he became the Guiness World Record holder for most victories of any player in men’s internationals.
However, things didn’t go as planned for the 40-year-old attacker in Portugal’s Nations League quarter-final clash against Denmark.
The Seleção were awarded a sixth-minute penalty but Ronaldo couldn’t hold his nerve and barely tested Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with a tame effort from the spot.
Will the Portugal veteran atone for his error and help his side bounce back from a 1-0 first-leg defeat?
