At Campeón del Siglo, in Uruguay, Corinthians drew 1-1 with Peñarol this Thursday (21) in the penultimate round of the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores group stage.

The Uruguayans opened the scoring through Maximiliano Olivera and also had what would have been a second goal ruled out for offside.

The Brazilian side’s best chance came from Pedro Milans’ shot, which shaved the post in the final minutes of the first half.

After the break, however, Corinthians looked better on the pitch and began to put pressure on the Uruguayan team.

Then, after threatening the goalkeeper with a shot from outside the box, Zakarya Labyad showed his opportunism by pouncing on the rebound and making it all square.

In the closing minutes, Garro and Yuri Alberto had good chances to complete the comeback, but both shot straight at goalkeeper Aguerre.
