Portugal star winger Rafael Leão remains a point of contention for Milan supporters, but when he’s on, he’s on, and he showed that today with his goal against Bologna.
Across an entertaining fixture at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara with European implications, Milan eventually took a one-goal lead just before the break after Leão combined with January signing Santiago Giménez to find the match-opener after rounding Łukasz Skorupski.
It may have only been his 6th goal of the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, but it was a significant one for the player after he equaled Milan cult hero Kaka in becoming the first player since the Brazilian to score five or more goals in six consecutive seasons.
6 – Rafael #Leão (in the period between 2019-20 and 2024-25) is the first #Milan player to score more than five goals for six seasons in a row in #SerieA since Kakà (six between 2003-04 and 2008-09). Score.#BolognaMilan
