Two-time major winner and 2022 Travelers champion Xander Schauffele has committed to return to Cromwell to play in this year’s event.

Schauffele, the third-ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings, won the Travelers by two shots in 2022, finishing 19-under par and besting runners-up J. T. Poston and Sahith Theegala.

He’s a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour and is coming off the best season of his career, having won the PGA Championship and the Open Championship in 2024. He also won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

“Xander is one of the world’s best players, and he’s shown time and again that he can win golf’s biggest events. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to our tournament, especially since he claimed victory here a few years ago,” said Travelers Executive Vice President Andy Bessette. “It’s exciting to have another player of Xander’s caliber committing to our field.”

Schauffele joins Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa among the PGA Tour stars who have committed to the Travelers Championship so far.

The tournament will run from June 18-22.
