The best players in the world had their way with TPC Craig Ranch this past week, but none of them put together as fine of a week as Wyndham Clark given that he walked away as the CJ CUP’s winner. It marked Wyndham’s first victory on the PGA Tour in over two years (Pebble Beach in 2024).

The leaderboard in McKinney had big-time names at the top all weekend so Wyndham should feel quite proud of his latest efforts. What Clark should really rest on is the fact that with everything on the line he had his best golf. Wyndham shot a 60 on Sunday to put him at 30-under, a 3-shot victory over the next-closest challenger in Si Woo Kim.

Shooting 60 at any point is impressive, but doing so when you are trying to win a golf tournament is a different level. As you can imagine there aren’t many final round scores of 60 during tournament victories, but amazingly Wyndham Clark was already on the list of people who did it prior to doing so on Sunday.

Players to post 60 or better in the final round en route to victory on record:

  • David Duval/1999 American Express (59)

  • Stuart Appleby/2010 Greenbrier Classic (59)

  • Tommy Gainey/2012 RSM Classic (60)

  • Wyndham Clark/2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (60) and 2026 CJ CUP Byron Nelson (60)

Now it should be noted that Wyndham did this at Craig Ranch in an event that wound up being 72 holes per normal standards, but when he last did it at Pebble Beach the event was shortened to 54 holes due to winner. Incidentally that was Wyndham’s last win… so it has actually been even longer since he won an event without shooting 60 in what was his final round of it.

Well done by Wyndham Clark.
