The 2026 Wyndham Championship gets underway today, the last chance for dozens of PGA Tour golfers to qualify for the season-ending FedEx Cup playoffs.

Defending champ Cameron Young, No. 3 in the FedEx Cup standings, doesn’t have anything to worry about. Same for the four others in the field nestled safely within the top 25: Ryan Gerard, Alex Fitzpatrick, Hideki Matsuyama and Alex Smalley. But for Harry Hall, Patrick Rodgers, Aldrich Potgieter and the rest ranked in the 60s, a poor finish or heaven forbid a missed cut could mark the end of their season.

Star rookie Jackson Koivun enters Sedgefield Country Club in the final playoff spot, just ahead of Mac Meissner. Former LIV Golf member Brooks Koepka is still alive, as are Keegan Bradley, Jason Day and Austin Smotherman. Tony Finau needs to challenge for the tournament victory to earn a 12th straight year in the postseason at next week’s St. Jude Championship.
