WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H suggested Saturday that holding a future WrestleMania in Australia is not outside the realm of possibility.

During an appearance on the Crown Jewel post-show in Perth, Australia (beginning at the 53:45 mark of the video), Triple H was asked by Big E if WrestleMania could be in Australia’s future:

While Triple H didn’t commit to making it happen, he also didn’t rule it out, saying: “If there’s anything you’ve seen in the past couple of years, it’s that this is truly a global brand. … We’re a global company, which means we do global events, and we do them better than anybody else on the planet. Is there an opportunity to see WrestleMania, the Rumble, SummerSlam in all these other places? Absolutely, it’s just gonna take time to see where we can go.”

To this point, WrestleMania has never been held outside the United States or Canada, but there have long been calls from fans to make it happen with London being the most popular choice.

London has not yet been chosen to host a WrestleMania, but WWE did commit last month to a future WrestleMania outside North America.

As part of its long-running partnership with the country, WWE is bringing WrestleMania 43 to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027.

While Saudi Arabia is a different case from other foreign countries due to the amount of money it is willing and able to pay for major events, holding WrestleMania there could still be the first step toward the company becoming more comfortable with the idea of other overseas WrestleManias.

Due to the travel distance and logistical issues involved with holding shows in Australia, it was a rarity for any WWE event to take place Down Under for many years.

A major breakthrough occurred when WWE Super Show-Down was hosted in Melbourne in 2018, and WWE has now done premium live events in Perth in back-to-back years.

It started with Elimination Chamber last year, and WWE followed it up with Crown Jewel on Saturday, which featured Aussies Rhea Ripley and Bronson Reed, as well as huge matches such as Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes and John Cena vs. AJ Styles.

The crowd was electric and the event seemed to be a success, so it may be safe to assume that more WWE events are in Australia’s future, even if it isn’t WrestleMania.
