Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from the WWE Universe.

Breakker Reportedly Turned on Rollins Sooner Than Originally Planned

Bron Breakker’s shocking turn on Seth Rollins during Monday night’s episode of Raw reportedly wasn’t supposed to take place until next year, based on original plans.

According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), sources hinted heavily that the call for Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman to betray Rollins was a “creative pivot.”

Fightful added that Self Made PW had heard the Breakker turn was initially slated for some time in 2026.

After CM Punk beat Jey Uso and LA Knight in a Triple Threat match in the main event of Raw to become the No. 1 contender for Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship, The Vision arrived on the scene and took Punk out.

It appeared as though Raw was going to go off the air with Rollins celebrating alongside his stablemates, but a shocking moment occurred when Breakker speared him.

Breakker then gave Reed a choice to go with him or stick with Rollins, and Reed quickly decided to remain loyal to Breakker by hitting Rollins with a Tsunami splash.

Raw ended with Breakker, Reed and Heyman celebrating over Rollins as he writhed in pain on the canvas.

After Crown Jewel when Reed upset Roman Reigns and Rollins beat Cody Rhodes in the main event, it seemed like The Vision was stronger than ever and destined for great things.

However, Breakker and Reed turning on Rollins completely changes the landscape of Raw and WWE as a whole, and there is no shortage of rumors and speculation regarding a Rollins injury possibly being the reason for the sped-up storyline.

WWE Reportedly Secretive About Rollins’ Injury Info

WWE is reportedly keeping details surrounding Rollins’ potential injury close to the vest.

According to Fightful Select (h/t H Jenkins of Ringside News), it is believed Rollins suffered an arm or shoulder injury during his match against Rhodes at Crown Jewel, as a photo of him wearing a sling surfaced afterward.

The injury may have occurred when Rollins hit a coast-to-coast headbutt, as he seemed to be favoring his arm for the remainder of the match.

Rollins is reportedly set to undergo medical testing in the coming days, and some in WWE are hopeful he suffered a broken arm rather than a more complicated shoulder injury since a shoulder ailment could keep him out longer and alter creative plans even more.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Rollins has been linked to an injury in recent months, as it was previously believed that he hurt his knee during a Saturday Night’s Main Event match against LA Knight over the summer.

Rollins and WWE played up the injury as if it was legitimate, but it turned out to be a ruse, as Rollins went on to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk at SummerSlam.

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), the fact that WWE worked so many people, including those within the company, regarding Rollins’ last “injury” has created distrust and a situation where nobody is quite sure what to believe.

Meltzer also noted that original plans called for The Vision to remain together through WrestleMania and for Austin Theory to join the group, which suggests a legitimate injury may have derailed the planned storyline.

As of now, it sounds like there is uncertainty of the severity of Rollins’ injury and how long he will be out, but if WWE was willing to move up the timeline of The Vision’s implosion so significantly, it could mean that Rollins is expected to be out for the foreseeable future.

How Rollins’ Reported Injury Impacts Punk, Reigns

Given that Rollins is one of WWE’s top stars, it comes as little surprise that him potentially missing time due to injury may have a major impact on other big-name Superstars as well.

According to Meltzer (h/t Carrier), Rollins and Punk were supposed to meet in a World Heavyweight Championship match at the Nov. 1 Saturday Night’s Main Event, but that is now very much in question.

Meltzer theorized that WWE may feel the injury is serious enough to where that match can no longer happen or else the Vision implosion angle likely wouldn’t have happened on Raw.

Meltzer (h/t Carrier) also reported that Rollins and Roman Reigns were “tentatively scheduled” to face each other next year at WrestleMania 42, although it is fair to wonder if that is still in the cards.

Depending on how much time Rollins has to miss, he could now be in line to return as a babyface and a rival of Breakker and Reed, which would conceivably force WWE to pivot away from the Rollins vs. Reigns idea.

Of course, WWE could always find a way to keep Rollins as a heel and still get to him vs. Reigns, but it is difficult to envision a circumstance where he would go after Reigns before getting revenge on his former proteges.

Rollins’ immediate future now appears to be very much in question, but one thing that seems far more certain is that Breakker and Reed are in line for a huge push as top stars on Raw.
