The checkered flag is out at NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway for the Shriners Children’s 500.

Christopher Bell scored his third win in a row after dueling Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson. This is Bell’s 12th career win in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Bell is the first driver since Kyle Larson in 2021 to win three races in a row. Larson did it twice in 2021. Bell is also the first driver to win three in a row in the Generation 7, otherwise known as the “NextGen” car.

Richard Petty holds the record with 10 wins in a row.

William Byron won the first stage after dominating the beginning stretch of the race, Ryan Preece won the second stage Sunday.

The race had 10 cautions for 70 laps and 15 lead changes.
