The NASCAR Cup Series travels up to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend for Sunday’s Food City 500.
Last year’s spring race featured heavy tire wear and major falloff, and the race was won by Denny Hamlin (whose car was later penalized for an engine seal violation).
Hamlin has won the last two races, including last week’s win at Darlington after a timely late-race caution and pit sequence.
Despite all that, the driver of the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota is not the betting favorite coming into the weekend.
