Naoya Inoue vs. Ramon Cardenas will be in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 4. The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET. Inoue and Cardenas should make their way to the ring around 11:30 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

One of boxing’s pound-for-pound greats, Inoue (29-0) is a four-division champion and is undisputed in two weight classes. The 32-year-old has 26 wins via knockout and returns to the U.S. for the first time since 2021. 

A fight against Junto Nakatani is on the table if Inoue wins. With his status in the sport already cemented, Inoue is ready for another challenge put in front of him.

“Cardenas is a beautiful fighter. He’s an all-around good fighter, but for me, it’s easy. No matter how he comes out, I think I have the advantage,” Inoue said. 

Cardenas (26-1) is on a 14-fight win streak. The 29-year-old, with 14 wins via knockout, competes in his first world title fight. His journey to reach this point, especially if he wins, will be one to remember. 

“I started doing Lyft, DoorDash, and Uber to make ends meet,” Cardenas said. “To fight for a world title is one thing, but to fight for the undisputed championship is the ultimate prize. For me to be in this position shows my work ethic and self-belief because I knew I was going to get here.”
