Wuhan, China, will play host to the final WTA 1000 event of the season, beginning Monday.
Top four players in the world — Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Amanda Anisimova — headline a stacked 56-player field. The Wuhan Open is the last chance for players to secure a place for the season-ending WTA Finals, with three sports still up for grabs.
Sabalenka comes into this year’s tournament with a 17-0 record, having won the Wuhan Open every time she has competed in it, in 2018, 2019, and 2024. Unlike most other 1000 tournaments, the Wuhan Open has a smaller field and is a traditional one-week event.
